The Liebelt Conservation Fund

Michael and Susanne Liebelt and their foundation have been patrons of the Hamburger Kunsthalle for many years. Now, the Liebelt Stiftung would like to endow the Liebelt Conservation Fund with 350,000 euros for the conservation and restoration of artworks in the collection of the Hamburger Kunsthalle. The aim is to be able to carry out examinations and urgently needed conservation and restoration measures on art objects in the collection of the Hamburger Kunsthalle with a focus on the Contemporary Art Collection. In cases of special need or extreme urgency, the Kunsthalle is also free to use funds from the Liebelt Conservation Fund to carry out such measures on objects from other areas of its collection. Such measures are geared toward preserving the art objects for posterity and are in line with the public and non-profit mission of the Hamburger Kunsthalle as a museum.
